ASACP to Attend XBIZ Summit

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) announced that it will participate in the 2011 XBIZ Summit Chicago, scheduled for June 10-12 at the Sofitel Water Tower Hotel.

ASACP’s interim director Tim Henning and membership manager Dawn Yagielowicz will be on hand in Chicago as part of the association’s adult industry outreach program that includes an information booth to accept donations, process new memberships and provide a range of literature.

ASACP will also place flyers in attendee’s gift bags and feature an advertisement in the event’s show guide.

“Fresh on the heels of our recent trips to Europe and Washington, ASACP is hitting Chicago, bolstered by a string of successful initiatives of benefit to online adult entertainment industry professionals,” Henning said.

He added, “For example, the strength of our Restricted To Adults (RTA) program continues to forestall mandatory website labeling; while new technology coupled with a vigorous internationalization program are allowing ASACP to reach a wider audience, including global lawmakers.”

ASACP said the balance of missions is unique in its protection of both children and legitimate adult entertainment companies, highlighting the effectiveness of adult industry self-regulation.

“XBIZ Summit attendees can learn about the latest happenings at ASACP and RTA and how the association continues to work on behalf of child protection and the needs of the industry by visiting our booth,” Yagielowicz said.

She added, “Visitors can also learn how they can help support the association in its vital and ongoing mission.”

The ASACP information booth will be located on XBIZ Summit’s main corridor, June 10-11, from 1-5 p.m.
